Phyllis Reynolds Naylor has written more than one hundred books for young readers, including her Newbery Medal-winning book, Shiloh, and its two sequels, as well as the phenomenally popular Alice series. She has also won Edgar Allan Poe Awards for Night Cry and Bernie Magruder and the Bats in the Belfry. Mrs. Naylor lives with her husband, Rex, in Bethesda, Maryland.
