NOTES FROM THE RARE BOOK ROOM SPECIALIST:
Nine (of ten) volumes of “The Florist & Garden Miscellany” containing 116 hand-colored
plates. Lacking the volume for 1848 (volume 1). Color lithography didn’t come into wide
use until 1860; the hand-colored plates in these volumes are some of the last made for the
general consumer.
Condition:
Boards rubbed, lacking spine labels on the volumes for 1852 & 1855. Plates remain bright.
